About nine months ago I purchased an iPod (second generation, 10GB, FAT32
formated) about a month ago I had to send it in for service (headphone jack
broke). Apple sent me a new (or refurbished) unit in about a week. I
plugged it in
just like I would normally but now when I try to mount it I get all sorts of
weird
IEEE1394, SBP2 and SCSI errors. The only thing that has changed (other then
the
replacement unit) is I have upgraded my kernel. I am now running
2.6.0-test5
upgraded from a late 2.5 kernel. I am still using the same kernel
configuration,
everything is built the same. What I am trying to figure out is if the
problems I am
having are due to a defective unit. Below is a copy of my dmesg output from
the
time I removed and reinserted the sbp2 module and when mount finally gave up
on mounting the drive.
Thanks for the help.
