SBP-2 removable disk not found.

  I have a 1394 Compact Flash reader and a Microdrive disk that I want
  to use. From what I can tell the FireWire card (Texas Instruments
  TSB12LV23 IEEE-1394 Controller) is found and loaded correctly. But
  when I plug in the card reader i get this error in dmesg:

ieee1394: ConfigROM quadlet transaction error for node 00:1023
ieee1394: Host added: Node[01:1023] GUID[005042f81120f5ac] [Linux OHCI-1394]

  Also, the attached microdrive disc is not found. I have compiled all
  drivers in the kernel (SCSI, SCSI-disk, SCSI-generic, FireWire,
  OHCI and SBP-2 support).

  Where should I start look for problems?
