Unlikely. As recent as two weeks ago it was still causing problems.
My eventual fix was a different Firewire card in my laptop. That
said I have a card that can be guaranteed to blow up, even does
it under Windows. I test it under Linux every time I upgrade to
a more recent revision of the code. Last test was a couple of
weeks ago :(

Though this is with a 2.4.x kernel and not some 2.6 test thingy.

Mind you I have now have another problem, and not sure if it is
a Firewire or a filesystem problem. The basics is on my Laice d2
250GB drive, which has a single FAT32 filesystem on it, things go
wrong under Linux writing to the drive now it has about 135GB of
data on it. The files all disappear, and running chkdsk from Windows
2000 finds all the files as lost clusters. Anyone any idea who
I should be point fingers at?

JAB.
