Hi,
I'm tring to use a Sony DFW-SX900 digital camera but I can't
acquire!!!
I downloaded a new release of libdc1394 (version 0.9.2) and I used
the example program. It works good with other camera (Unibrain Fire
i-400)
but with Sony camera the answer is always the same:

.........
There are no errors, but the camera doesn't aquire.
I tried with different kernel version (2.4.18, 2.4.21, and 2.6.1 but
with this version I have had a lot of other problems) without results.
In the linux1394.sourceforge.net site I found this note about Sony
SX900:
Special notes regarding compatibility:
for resolutions >800 pixel a bus speed has to be set
to 400 MBit/s, otherwise no capture (and no errors)
I follwed the instructions but the history is the same.
My configuration:
kernel: 2.4.18 (2.4.21)
Number of CPU: 2 (but I don't use SMP)
CPU: Pentium III
Speed: 1000 MHz
library: libdc1394-0.9.2
Memory: 512 MB
Driver: ohci1394
What can I do? Cry?
Thanks in advance
Andrea
P.S. sorry for my english
