This is unrelated to the condition of the harddisk drives.

After a bus reset, sbp2 tries to reconnect to the drives' SBP-2 bridges.
I am not sure, maybe they do not handle (fast) reconnects very well.
Bad physical connections may also cause bus resets. But that does not
seem to be the case here. There would be consecutive bus resets during
read/write activities.
