sbp2 login timed-out, still

Hi,
 I have now tested the last subversion for the 2.6 kernel
i still have the same error when connecting my hard drive
i.e. the sbp2 modules loads and after maybe 15 seconds I get a login
timed-out in dmesg.

I have an inspiron 8100 using ohci1394
my hard drive is a laval ide-firewire adaptor
it works under 2.4.x kernels

is there something else I can try to make it work?
