My 'sense' is that it will be recognized. My 'sense' is that you'll see
it as 4 separate controllers. I have no idea whether disk drives on each
interface will work for you. You'll just have to try. I believe Ben
Collins has a 1394b card using (maybe) a TI controller and posted that
there was life, but I don't remember any great amount of discussion
about it.

My understanding of apps like gscanbus is that you'll only be able to
see one bus. I'm having that problem right now with 2 1394a controllers
in a single box.

Not advice...just information. Take it with a grain of salt. I still
cannot get recent 1394 to do anything at all on my Gentoo box. It
troubles me that I'm having so many problems with a 2.4.22 kernel.
