Hi All,
I am trying to interface JVC HM-DHX1 Digital VCR using IEEE 1394
interface. I am using it on a linux box with kernel 2.4.18-14 (Std
RedHat 8.0 distro). My firewire interface is a PCI card based on NEC
chipset and using the ohci driver.
I compiled and using libraw1394-0.10.1 version.

I am mainly using the sendiso and dumpiso commands. I can very well read
from the VCR using dumpiso command. I read the contents and wrote it a
file. Later I tried to sent this file to VCR (after turning it to
record mode)using sendiso command. It always returns a 'read: Invalid
argument' error message.

Here is the output of my commands.
[root@lotus tmp]# dumpiso /tmp/JVC2Linux1
port: 0
channels: 0xffffffffffffffff
file: /tmp/JVC2Linux1
435487
[root@lotus tmp]# sendiso /tmp/JVC2Linux1
port: 0
loops: 1
file: /tmp/JVC2Linux1
read: Invalid argument
-------------------------------------
I am able to load the compiled raw1394 module. Also I tested the
interface using gscanbus, where I can see all the details of both ends
of firewire bus.

Can some body please tell me the meaning of this error message? Also
how I can fix this problem.

TIA,
Alex.
