Hi,
I am using libraw1394-0.10.1 library in my linux box (Kernel 2.4.18-14)
for connecting with a digital VCR. I am not able to write anything to
the VCR using the 'sendiso' program. But 'dumpiso' looks working well
and I can read from the VCR. When I dump (isodump) data to the VCR, I am
getting messages in /var/log/message like these:
Jul 12 16:17:35 lotus kernel: ohciFO ctx=0 is full... waiting
Jul 12 16:17:35 lotus kernel: ohci1394_0: Transmit DMA FIFO ctx=0 is
full... waiting
Jul 12 16:17:35 lotus last message repeated 69 times
Jul 12 16:17:35 lotus kernel: ohciFO ctx=0 is full... waiting
Jul 12 16:17:35 lotus kernel: ohci1394_0: Transmit DMA FIFO ctx=0 is
full... waiting
Jul 12 16:17:35 lotus last message repeated 69 times
Can somebody please tell why this messages are coming? I tried the same
setup with an apple macintosh machine which has a Virtual VCR,
everything looks working.
I found following difference in the /proc/bus/ieee1394/devices file when
I connect VCR and apple machine to my linux machine.
When I connect VCR to my linux machine, the devices files says:
Node[01:1023] GUID[0080880304b8047f]:
Vendor ID: `VICTOR' [0x008088]
Capabilities: 0x0083c0
Bus Options:
IRMC(1) CMC(1) ISC(1) BMC(0) PMC(0) GEN(1)
LSPD(1) MAX_REC(256) CYC_CLK_ACC(100)
But with apple macintosh is connected to linux machine, it says:
Node[00:1023] GUID[000393fffe4b1f88]:
Vendor ID: `Apple Computer, Inc.' [0x000a27]
Capabilities: 0x0083c0
Bus Options:
IRMC(1) CMC(1) ISC(1) BMC(0) PMC(0) GEN(11)
LSPD(2) MAX_REC(2048) CYC_CLK_ACC(0)
Few diffences can be seen in the Bus options. Do I need to do any
changes to the sendiso program to overcome this issue? Can somebody
please suggest me any solutions/pointers to this issue?
TIA,
Alex
