The parsing of the so-called config ROM has been changed from 2.4 to
2.6. This ROM (which may actually be RAM) contains information about
device types and capabilities. Multibay bridges have different ways
to present information about included units. It looks like yours is
just of the variant that is not yet correctly implemented in the 2.6
drivers. The problem is known to Ben Collins and he will eventually
find time to fix it. (You should perhaps post to linux1394-devel if
you want to discuss the details.)
