Need help with iPod on SUSE 9.1

I have a PPA 1202 host adapter in a Dell Optiplex GX-270 running SUSE
9.1. I've updated the entire system with YaST2. Uname -a reports:

i686 i386 GNU/Linux

I'm able to get libraw1394-0.10.1 to work with gscanbus0.7.1 and see the
iPod attached. Here are the messages from the kernel when plugging the

The device works fine under WindowsXP, but I'd really rather use Linux!
