Thank you for the answer, now it works!!!
I installed a new pcmcia-cs package (I think the
latest), and it worked the moment I plugged in the
pcmcia card. It loads correctly the modules and so on.
What I don't understand is why do I need pcmcia-cs
package since I have in kernel all the necessary
modules?
On ieee1394 web site it says clearly that I can use
either the kernel modules or pcmcia-cs package, but in
the kernel documentation it says that it is mandatory
to have pcmcia-cs in order to run the cardbus modules
correctly.
I am a little bit confused right now, but anyway I can
save an avi file from my camera on to the harddisk!
