Thank you very much for the hints. Probably the nodemgr of the ieee1394
driver is unable to read the device's type, which is recognized on the
pci-bus with the ohci1394 driver. Under /sys/bus/ieee1394 /drivers only
sbp2 and raw1394 are listed but not ohci1394. Is this right or shouldn't
there be also the ohci1394?
In the debug message of hotplug I have only:
invoke /etc/hotplug/pci.agent ()
Setup ohci1394 for PCI slot 01:03.0
but no other entries concerning ieee1394.
In syslog are only listed the loaded modules (ieee1394, ohci1394,
raw1394, sbp2).
Perhaps that can help a bit to identify my Problem.
Otherwise I will try my system with kernel 2.4.25 and the latest release
2.6.11.
