This patch helps out a LOT here. Still not perfect, I'll muck around
and try to pin down exactly where it's misbehaving. At the moment, it
appears that /proc/scsi/scsi now ALWAYS has the correct information.
However, /dev/scd? and /dev/sd? are not always bound to sane things.
I'll generate some repeatable tests and post them.
