Dear Stefan Richter!
Until now I haven 't compiled in verbose debug messages into the Kernel
but I got some other information by connecting the Plextor PX-716UF with
USB before starting the PC.
The IEEE-Commander rcognized two nodes on Port 0 (fw-host0):
Node 0 - not ready
Node 1 - GUID 0x003095A2100019E1
Lokal x
IRM x
CRM x
ISO x
Akk x
speed 800
Manufacturer Procomp Informatics, Ltd.
Under /sys/bus/ieee1394/drivers/ I recognized the new directory-entry
ip1394 (raw1394 and sbp2 are there also) with the following content:
ll -a /sys/bus/ieee1394/drivers/ip1394
insgesamt 0
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 0 Apr 28 15:04 ./
drwxr-xr-x 5 root root 0 Apr 28 13:44 ../
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 Apr 28 15:04 003095a2100019e1-0 ->
../../../../devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:0b.0/0000:01:03.0/fw-host0/003095a2100019e1/003095a2100019e1-0/
-r--r--r-- 1 root root 4096 Apr 28 15:04 device_ids
-r--r--r-- 1 root root 4096 Apr 28 15:04 name
It seems that ip1394 is a wrongly assigned driver for a network-card as
harddrake is showing an newly added network-card although I have never
installed one into my PC.
With ll -a
/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:0b.0/0000:01:03.0/fw-host0/003095a2100019e1/
