JS_OFFENSIVE.A is a destructive JavaScript Trojan embedded inside an HTML file. It takes advantage of a vulnerability found in the ActiveX control, which allows the execution of scripts.
JS_OFFENSIVE.A runs once a malicious HTML file is loaded into the browser.
Once executed, it modifies the registry so that the system becomes unusable.

This JavaScript Trojan has been classified as low risk. Trend Micro has not received any infection reports for JS_OFFENSIVE.A.
