WORM_URICK.A is a mass-mailing worm that uses MAPI (Messaging Application Programming Interface) to send copies of itself to all addresses in the infected user's Microsoft Outlook address book. It arrives in an email message with the following:
 
Subject: A Windows Trick

Message Body: This is a cool Windows Trick. Microsoft has not developed a patch for this because they do not want to. Execute the file attached to learn more of this Windows Trick. If it did not work, use a Linux system instead.

Attachment: %Variable filename%

The worm then executes its payload of disabling the Windows Start button on systems running Windows NT, 2000, or XP. It also displays a message box with text "The trick worked."
